Information Director-General confident that "Déjà vu: A Diplomat's Memoire" book will broadly inspire readers

On 24 May 2024, Mr. Nikorndej Balankura, Director-General of the Department of Information, welcomed Former Ambassador Komgrit Varakamin, who is now serving as Advisor to the Thailand-Vietnam Business Council and the Honorary Consuls Association (Thailand) in Bangkok, who paid a courtesy call to present a copy of his book "Déjà vu: A Diplomat's Memoire" to the Ministry.

The Director-General expressed appreciation and commended that the writer has transpired his diverse experience as a Thai diplomat, which would benefit all readers. DG Nikorndej is also confident that the Memoire will inspire the public to be more interested in choosing diplomacy as their career options.

Originally published in Thai, the "Déjà vu: A Diplomat's Memoir" was written and translated into English by Former Ambassador Komgrit Varakamin, who is currently Advisor to the Thailand-Vietnam Business Council and the Honorary Consuls Association (Thailand) in Bangkok. The book compiles a comprehensive recollection of professional experience spanning almost 40 yeas in diplomatic service.
