On 11 July 2022, Mr. Natapanu Nopakun, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Information and Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, welcomed Dr. Nithiwat Gijsriurai, the CEO of Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, to the Ministry to discuss ways Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital can help to promote Thailand's role as Host of APEC 2022. The Ministry has received kind support from every sector, including the private and public sectors, the academic and media. This effort is to strengthen Thailand’s health security potential in line with the APEC 2022 priorities.

The CEO of Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital expressed readiness to provide PR support through its communication channels in various hospital networks and is interested to showcase Thailand's medical innovation at the Media Center during the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week this November.
