On 29 August 2022, Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Director-General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Bangkok Governor, to discuss cooperation on raising public awareness of Thailand’s role as host of APEC 2022 ahead of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in November and promoting Muay Thai as a form of soft power through "MFA Muay Thai Flash Mob", to be held for the second time on 10 September 2022 at 16.30 - 18.00 hrs. at River Park ICONSIAM.
The Spokesperson discussed with BMA about Bangkok and Washington D.C.’s cooperation in areas such as Smart City and Green City as well as the opportunity for the Ambassador of Thailand to the Russian Federation to make a courtesy call on the Bangkok Governor.
