The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Meta Co-Hosted Facebook Page Management Workshop for MFA Personnel and Diplomatic Corps in Thailand

On 15 May 2025, the Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with Meta, organized a hands-on workshop on official Facebook Page management for MFA personnel and members of the Diplomatic Corps in Thailand. The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ capacity in digital communication.

Mrs. Maratee Nalita Andamo, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Information, delivered an opening remarks in the morning and afternoon sessions, attended by 60 MFA officials in Thailand and abroad as well as approximately 40 foreign diplomats in Thailand, respectively.

Participants benefited from practical insights provided by experts from Meta on how to manage Facebook Pages effectively. Topics included using Meta Support Pro for technical assistance, managing pages and utilizing Meta’s various products, creating targeted content, and introductions to new platforms such as Threads and Edits.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Department of Information, recognizes the importance of utilizing new forms of media to advance digital diplomacy and public diplomacy. This approach aims to make knowledge on foreign affairs more accessible to the general public.
