On 25 September 2023, H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, DPM/FM, visited Sa Kaeo Province, to discuss with Sa Kaeo Governor, Sa Kaeo Chamber of Commerce, and representatives of local agencies, on development of border areas and cross-border trade, the Friendship Bridge, freight rail link, and ways to stimulate growth of local economy.
DPM/FM Parnpree inspected facilities at Ban Klong Leuk – Poi Pet International Point of Entry (Poipet City Governor greeted) and Ban Klong Leuk Border Railway Station. He also met with small business owners in Rong Kluea Market to discuss ways to promote trade and tourism.
Afterwards, DPM/FM Parnpree had a site visit to follow up on the CIQ facilities construction at the Thailand-Cambodia Friendship Bridge (Ban Non Ian- Stung Bot), of which is built to ease congestion at Ban Klong Leuk – Poi Pet International Point of Entry. He also visited a humanitarian demining site in Aranyaprathet District.
Bilateral trade in 2022 was 9.8 billion USD.
