On 6 December 2023, Mr. Bill Russo, Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Global Public Affairs, USA, had a meeting with Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Director General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On this occasion, both sides shared experiences, exchanged views on how to communicate with the public, especially on the topics such as how to design organizational structures to face challenges of Public Relations in the age of Social Media and fake news, how to use AI to assist in the area of communication and sought future cooperation between the two departments. This meeting enabled both sides to share different perspectives and practices which can be applied to the work of both departments in the future.
